Verified Chapter 1 web build
Track your Chapter 1 route as you play
Use this guide when you want to know whether a choice actually changes your route. It is organized by the order you see scenes in-game, with clear save points, spoiler toggles, and a route tracker you can check off as you play.
Each save point tells you where you should be in the story, what the game remembers, what only changes dialogue, and when you should make a separate save before continuing.
Current build finding
Only one explicit named ending was found: Ending: Missing.Poison, cake, kidnapping, and Harlequin scenes are route states that rejoin Chapter 1 rather than separate named endings.
Save Point 1
Opening Street: Help Pierrot or Stand Aside
You should be seeing a man attack Pierrot in the street. This is the first real route check.
Do nothing
The game remembers that you did not help Pierrot. You miss the early connection that normally puts you on the red-ticket path.
Show detailed outcome
You go to work without helping him. Later, the pink ticket is forced on you and the circus routes you toward the pink tent. This leads to Ending: Missing.
This is not just a colder role-play answer. Use it only if you are intentionally collecting the Missing ending.
Intervene / Yell at the man
Both choices keep you on the normal Chapter 1 route. You get the follow-up scene where you can comfort Pierrot or offer a bandage.
Which one should I pick?
Pick the tone that fits your playthrough. The important part is that you do help Pierrot, so he notices you before the ticket route begins.
Save Point 2
Pierrot Bandage Choice
You should be helping Pierrot after the attack. This choice changes later Pierrot details, even though it does not lock a main route.
Comfort him.
You reassure Pierrot in the moment. The game does not keep tracking this choice as a later route state.
What this means
This is still a valid in-character response, but it does not create the later bandage and paper-flower detail.
Offer a bandage.
The game remembers that you gave Pierrot a bandage. Later he appears with it and gives you a paper flower in return.
What changes later?
In the cafe encounter, the bandage makes Pierrot's return feel more personal. The paper flower becomes an early sign that your small act of care stayed with him.
Save Point 3
Pink Ticket: Take It or Decline
You should be in the cafe when a stranger offers a pink ticket. This looks dangerous, but the real danger depends on the opening scene.
Take it
The game remembers that you accepted the pink ticket. If you helped Pierrot earlier, he can later notice the ticket and replace it with a red one.
When is the pink ticket dangerous?
The pink-ticket bad route is tied to choosing Do nothing in the opening. If Pierrot noticed you earlier, accepting the ticket can instead unlock the ticket-swap scene.
If you also help Pierrot with his cafe injury, he gives clearer context that the ticket is wrong and should not be trusted.
Save Point 4
Cafe Blackout: Knife or Lights
You should be in the cafe during the blackout. This choice changes the mood of Pierrot's entrance.
Pick up a knife
The game remembers that you armed yourself. Pierrot notices the knife, and the scene becomes tenser, but this does not lock a route.
Should I worry about this?
No. This mainly changes the atmosphere of Pierrot's entrance. Choose it if you want the cafe scene to feel more defensive and uneasy.
Turn on the lights
You move directly into the Pierrot cafe encounter without the knife reaction.
Route impact
This is the simpler version of the scene. You do not lose the later Pierrot injury choice.
Save Point 5
Pierrot Injury Choice: Send Him Away or Help Him
This is one of the most important early choices for Pierrot and Harlequin dialogue.
Help with the injury
The game remembers that you heard Pierrot speak privately. He tells you he cannot be seen talking, introduces himself, and explains that there is only one Pierrot.
What changes later?
During the Day 2 daytime circus scene, you remember Pierrot mentioning Harlequins and Jesters. Harlequin suddenly appears and focuses on the fact that Pierrot actually talked to you. He teases your guilty reaction, then explains that the pink street performers are Fools, not Harlequins.
If you did not hear Pierrot speak, Harlequin's opening is more general. He talks more about the circus atmosphere and your reaction instead of immediately pressing on Pierrot's secret.
Ask him to leave
You still receive the red ticket outside, but you do not hear Pierrot's private voice. Later Harlequin's daytime opening is more general and less focused on Pierrot's secret.
When to choose this
Choose this if you want a less Pierrot-informed Day 2. For Pierrot and Harlequin relationship context, the injury-help version is stronger.
Save Point 6
First Night Circus: Food Before Pierrot's Show
You should have finished Harlequin's green tent and be deciding whether to buy food before Pierrot's red tent.
Buy some food
The game remembers that you ate circus food. Any food choice sends you into the poisoned version after Pierrot's show.
Do food types matter?
Popcorn, sweet popcorn, candy apple, and hot dog all trigger the poisoned route. Candy apple adds an extra Pierrot-related interaction before the route continues.
After the red tent, your normal response options are replaced by a distorted state, and the route moves toward the kidnapping/storage-room sequence.
Forget it
You avoid the poisoned path and keep the normal post-show choice with Pierrot.
Best first-run choice
Choose this on your main Chapter 1 save if you want to reach the normal Day 2 daytime route before testing food or kidnapping branches.
Save Point 7
Pierrot Red Tent: See Him Again?
The show reaction choices are safe. The important choice comes when Pierrot asks whether he can see you again.
Amazing / Scary / Fun
These only change how you describe Pierrot's performance. Choose the tone that fits your playthrough.
Sure
Pierrot is delighted. You go home, get his night-visit scene, and wake into the normal Day 2 daytime circus route.
Why this matters
This is the cleanest route into Day 2. Use it if you want the daytime Harlequin invitation, Carol and Ticket Taker sequence, and later room choice.
Better not
Pierrot panics at the rejection, gives you cake, and you enter the cake/kidnapping route instead of the normal Day 2 route.
Is this an ending?
No confirmed ending name appears here in the current build. Treat it as a major route state that sends you into the storage-room material.
State Rebuild
Day 2 Recap Questions
If you start from the dream recap entry, the game asks questions to rebuild your route state.
Use these answers to recreate routes
Think of this section as a route-state rebuild. The game is asking what your previous save would have remembered.
- Helped Pierrot's cafe injury? Choose Yes if you want the game to remember that you heard Pierrot speak privately.
- Ate circus food? Choose Yes to jump into the poisoned kidnapping route.
- Let Pierrot visit? Choose Yes for the normal Day 2 route, or no for the cake/kidnapping state.
Recommended rebuild answers
For a normal route, answer that you helped Pierrot, did not eat circus food, and did let Pierrot visit. For a kidnapping route, answer that you ate circus food or did not let Pierrot visit.
Kidnapping Route
Harlequin Finds You
You should be in the storage/kidnapping scene. Harlequin's choices can leave marks that matter later.
Keep quiet
Harlequin sees through your attempt to pretend you are a doll and bites you. The game remembers that he marked you.
Later impact
If Pierrot later stays in your room, he can notice Harlequin's mark and react to it. This makes the room scene sharper.
Hold his hand
Harlequin briefly shifts his rhythm when you touch him. Later, his mirror can show an extra visual beat.
Later impact
This does not create a new ending, but it can add a Harlequin-related detail in the blue mirror tent.
Save Point 8
Daytime Harlequin: Move Away or Follow Him
This is Harlequin's biggest Chapter 1 route-pressure entrance.
Move away
You avoid Harlequin's invitation, but you still run into Carol and Ticket Taker. The route leans more into circus mystery.
When to choose this
Choose this if you want the Day 2 route to focus more on Carol, Ticket Taker, and the wider circus situation instead of Harlequin's dark tent.
Follow him
The game remembers that you followed Harlequin. You enter his dark tent scene and later room-visit dialogue changes around that choice.
Inside the dark tent
If you choose Allow, Harlequin leaves a mark on you. If Pierrot later stays in your room, he can notice it.
If you choose Hit him, you see the resistance version of the scene without that same later mark state.
Save Point 9
Home Visit: Pierrot Stays or Harlequin Visits
After the circus incident, Pierrot appears in your room. This choice decides who gets the next close room scene.
Yes, I need some space.
Pierrot leaves, but the room does not stay empty. Harlequin visits next.
What changes if you followed Harlequin?
If you followed Harlequin earlier, the room visit feels like a continuation of the dark tent conflict. If you did not, he is more clearly pulling you back into his game from the outside.
No, you can stay.
Pierrot stays close, listens to your heartbeat, and can notice Harlequin's mark if you have one.
If Harlequin marked you
Pierrot asks to cover Harlequin's mark with his own. Agree to let him overwrite the mark, or deny to see his sharper anger toward Harlequin.
Second Night
Tent Order: Blue, Cyan, Then Purple
The second night looks open, but the route has a clear gate.
- Blue TentMirror maze. Can unlock hidden scene 2 if you choose Come closer.
- Cyan TentDoctor scene. Adds a Doctor mirror line if done before the mirror maze.
- Purple TentOnly opens after blue and cyan are complete. Unlocks hidden scene 1 and leads to Chapter 1 ending.
You can do blue and cyan in either order. If you want Doctor's mirror callback, visit the cyan tent before checking the Doctor mirror inside the blue tent.
Black Tent
Try the black tent three times before ending the night if you want the overheard Ticket Taker and Jester scene.
Why three times?
The first two attempts are blocked. The third attempt is the important one, because you overhear Ticket Taker and Jester. After that, the tent appears empty.
Mirror Maze
Blue Tent Choices
Most mirrors are optional lore checks. The final Columbina mirror is the important branch.
Pierrot Mirror
Shows Pierrot's attachment in a darker, more warning-like form. This is character context, not an ending lock.
Harlequin Mirror
Can show extra visuals if you followed him on Day 2 or held his hand in the kidnapping route.
Jester Mirror
Changes slightly if Pierrot's mirror was already viewed, so mirror order can matter for small details.
Doctor Mirror
Adds a line if you already visited Doctor's cyan tent before checking this mirror.
Ticket Taker Mirror
Obey and Turn around both return to the maze, but Turn around gives the scene a more oppressive tone.
Broken Fire Mirror
Click it at least three times for the repeated-visit warning. Later clicks shorten into a closer warning.
Run away.
You escape the final mirror and leave without unlocking hidden scene 2.
Route impact
The game remembers this as the escape version of the final mirror. You can still continue the second night, but you miss the Columbina hidden scene.
Come closer.
You enter the Columbina-related hidden scene and unlock hidden scene 2 in the gallery.
Best save advice
Save before choosing this. Use one slot for Come closer to unlock the gallery scene, and another slot for Run away if you want the escape version.
